1.Why
Connection is a human need, in the workplace it increases our sense of purpose, psychological safety and effectiveness.
At work your main instrument to making connections is conversation. Did you know, that a lot more goes on in a conversation than what’s being said?

2.How
Think of your conversation partner as an iceberg: you learn much about them from how they talk, their expression, and their body language. It’s what you can see, the tip of the iceberg. What your conversation partner thinks, feels and believes, is hidden below the waterline.
The key to creating connection with your conversation partner lies there, beneath the water. By asking the right questions and using your active listening skills, you can lower the waterline to understand the deeper motivations of the other.

3.What
In this session, you discover what is going on below the waterline and experience active listening with the LSA model. Of course, creating connection remotely brings its own challenges, which we will help you tackle as well.

Key points of content:
- A huge factor in creating connection is to truly listen to each other and being able ‘to read’ the other.
- Awareness that creating connection is helped by being able to discover and be aware of what lies beneath the waterline.
- Learners practice with asking questions to manifest what is really at play in the conversation and might be blocking or enabling connection
- By listening actively you can discover what happens in the inner world of the other.
- A simple tool for your everyday life.
